Happy Valentine’s Day! Valentine’s day is day for showing how much you love someone, right? Well, I’d like to show my love for you, dear blog reader, by giving away an autographed copy of Melisser Elliot’s book The Vegan Girl’s Guide To Life! I met Melisser back in November and she signed a copy of her book for one lucky VeggieGirl.com reader.

2. And then leave a comment on this post telling me why you love being vegan.
Fine print: Comments must be left on this post. Contest ends at 12:00pm EST on February 18th. I will use a random number generator to pick the winner. By the way, all of the little glitches and technical difficulties with the new site seem to be fixed now, thanks to Dennis and his diligence. Thank you for your patience during the transition! There may still be some problems with email subscriptions in that old posts are being sent out, but I don’t think there’s anything that can be done about it. We brought the old blog over here to the new one, so this site thinks all of those old posts are new. Hopefully that will end soon!

I subscribed via email. I love being vegan because I love living as cruelty-free as possible! I’m also a foodie, and I love trying new foods and making old foods vegan-style!
I love being vegan because I know that my family and I are leading compassionate lives that have a low impact on our planet and is great for our health. I am proud to be vegan!
I’m not quite vegan, but am aspiring. My reason for being vegetarian is that I believe most of the world’s meat industry is not cruelty free.
What DON’T I love about being vegan?! The most fundamental part of being vegan that I love is living a compassionate and cruelty-free life. I also like knowing that I’m giving my body the best chance at living disease-free, which is also compassionate to the ones that I love. Being vegan also gives the environment the fighting chance it needs to continue to support the human population. I <3 being vegan!!
I am not contributing to the torture of animals or the demise of our planet. I am able to live a kind life, with the added benefit of feeling healthy and alive every day. Life is Better Vegan!
