Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale


On Saturday, Montclair Vegans held our second annual Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale at Go Lightly. It was a lot of fun and we raised $1,060.60! The money was split between JerseyCats and the Montclair Animal Shelter. It went so well that we’re having another one! The next bake sale will be on June 4th at Go Lightly and the money raised will go to Farm Sanctuary.

 

I made chocolate cupcakes and carrot cake cupcakes. Jenna made brownies and Mexican wedding cookies. Karyn made raspberry jam crumb cake.

 

Karyn also made a lemon cake that didn’t last very long and Eileen made two types of cookies.

 

Fanny made muffins.

 

Nancy made chocolate chip scones.

 

Rutherford Pancake House donated delicious quesadillas.

 

The Cinnamon Snail donated yummy donuts.

 

Debra made lots of cute mini donuts.

 

Go Lightly was offering a bake sale special: buy two cookies and get a scoop of ice cream between them for $2.00. Nancy got coffee ice cream between two chocolate cookies.

 

Elise got balsamic strawberry ice cream between two peanut butter cookies.

 

Jennifer from VaVaVaVegan stopped by the bake sale!

 

Jennifer bought a carrot cake cupcake.

 

There were many more baked goods that didn’t get photographed because I was crazy busy: Rachel made peanut butter cookies, Alisha made banana bread, Fanny made mini pizzas, Prairie made black and white cookies and there was so much more I can’t remember it all!

Three new ice cream flavors arrived this week: strawberry balsamic, peanut butter fudge and cinnamon cookie. I sampled all three and they’re all really delicious!
