Welcome to another edition of What I Ate Wednesday! Instead of showing you what I ate in a day, I want to show off the food that was made for a potluck I hosted on Sunday. I run a fun Meetup group called Montclair Vegans, and I like to have potlucks about once a month. This one had a brunch theme, which means anything goes! We really do have amazing cooks in the group, and there were quite a few declarations of this being the best potluck group around while everyone was enjoying their food. One friend told me that he’s left potlucks from other groups hungry because all there was to eat was chips and dip, and I myself was once at a potluck with another group where someone walked in and proudly plopped down a can of peanuts on the food table alongside bags of potato chips and containers of store-bought hummus. Seriously.
African Ground Nut Stew
Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
Breakfast Potato Hash
Donuts fresh from Dunwell Donuts in Brooklyn
Fresh fruit (to make up for the donuts!)
Vegetable and Rice Stir-Fry
There was also pasta, kale salad, spinach salad, roasted vegetables, soup and raw chocolate treats!
